AKA my second drug after my OTP quad Squad haaaa ♥ And my second favorite ship for Mexico and Filipinas uvu
They were cute dorkies, in the first panels probably Maricela just arrived from Manila to Acapulco in the Galeon. The blanked actually is not a blanket, it is Raquel's rebozo/Cloak ( the thing that covers Raquel's head shouldes and arms when shes outside )
The song Raquel's singing is actually a real song. Sang by el trío los tres panchos, when they visited the philippines in 1958. I know this is the colony time, but lets say Raquel invented the song (¿¿) When I want Mexpiri Feels, i listen to this song <3 is so cute and relaxing. I headcanon Raquel and Maricela having real cute and Intimatemoments, no no not that kind of things, i meant, they really shared a nice sister relationship.
Lyrics Translate: "Filipinas, mi novia encantada Filipinas, my enchanted sweetheart
La tierra que ofrece respeto y calor The land that offers courtesy and warmth
Filipinas, princesa de oriente Filipinas, princess of the orient
Tú eres la estrella que orienta mi amor You are the star that guides my love"
//Cries over her dead ship
Mexi-headcanon : Raquel is actually, really good singing. Probably one of the best country singers. With a beautiful and deep singing voice ( Like Peggy lee in english, or Lila downs / María felix for spanish ) She'd be in the glee club(¿) in the gakuen hetalia (apart from the Dance Latino club). Why? not because I said. because Mexico is a cultural potency, the Mexican media has crossed her borders and extend to most of latin america, even the United states. one of the countries with most Latin grammies with over 100 , and of course our classic rock groups ,mariachis, tambora and banda/ranchera famous around the world, During the golden age of the Mexican cinema (during the 30/40 last 50s ) in many movies, the mexican singers were recognized and became famous , many mexican classic songs or pop culture songs are known in latin america. so yeah uvu haha.
