the many stages of New Spain by NerdyJones the many stages of New Spain by NerdyJones
(please ignore the quality of this drawing--- I wasn't really interested in drawing, but I need to draw--it is a compulsion )

You know Jones is obsessed with new Spain <3

anyway, New spain was the most important colony in America ((So yeah, fuck you 13 colonies and Peru ))
we were THE FAVORITESSS (¿) loosersssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss (¿)

ok ok just ignore Jones.

Anyway, so hum yeah. it kinda kills me when someone does a new spain stage--- just one..New spain wearing the same clothes and being a shota/Loli for 300 years--- ignoring the fact that New spain was probably the oldest colony (in appeareance, because the developing) "lol new spain okay, the history goes New spain- Mexico's independence right?" no bitch,no..

Now, some history for your pleasure ♥ ♥ ♥ (mostly mine lmao).

Cheeb!Raquel  - New Spain first stage / 'baby' stage or 'conformation' stage ( 1521- 1590 ) :

This stage started with Tenochtitlan's fall. the first thing the spaniards did was evangelize the indigenous people. (that's why Raquel carries a bible and a rosary)
Raquel lived with Jesuit monks and soldiers, that era was pretty dark, sad and religious because she was forced to forget her old culture and get a new one, also she saw how her old people died every day from the pox and other european's diseases.
also this was when Azteca and her other aunts/uncles died. Her outfit is just a simple dress inspired by the jesuit monks outfits.
in this era, the colonizers started the expansion to the north, conquering the northern territories (Were Chichimeca lived),
at the end of this stage the spanish people started to immigrate in a very small amounts (mostly sailors and criminals) since there wasn't any security for the spanish families, the european population was almost nule. The woman colonizators were really necesary, with them there , the soldiers would stop to make children with the indigenous, the spanish crown sent thousands of spanish women to keep them down. ((but this was unnecessary because the spaniards preferred the indigenous lmao )

7- 13 years old Raquel | New Spain second stage / 'child' stage or 'consolidation' stage (1600-1750) :
In this stage Raquel was a big child, around her 12 years. in this era New spain was getting bigger and more important in the international context, The spanish colonizers were expulsed from the colony to give space for complete spanish families and important inmigrants. anyway the criminal inmigration didn't stop. Also, Raquel started to got responsabilities over other colonies and her territory was extending a lot too. Mexico city started to grow up and becoming one of the most important cities in latin america, New spain economy started to develop and getting richer day by day.
Anyway during this time Spain was over -protecting with her so she was isolated from most of the spanish colonies but Peru.

13-16 years old Raquel | New Spain Third stage / 'adult' stage or 'growth' stage (1750-1800 )
By this era New spain was the most important colony in america, Mexico city was the richest city that could be compared with any other european city.
the economy was strong and growing up, the culture, art and science were developing by the many universities around the colony (the most important and the first in america latina-- Mexico city's university), New Spain was in charge of many other colonies and the most important economic activity was mining.
(silver-- Mexico is the first/second country extraction and exportation of silver /that explains her silver bracelets).
There were many important and old criollo families in New Spain, and the population was totally diversified, there were spanish, indigneous, africans and asians everywhere.
Her outfit is a mix between a normal late 1700s- 1800's dress , and she covers her head with a big kind of rebozo, because that was what the spanish culture said. it was correct for  a 'grown woman' or a 'señorita' .

17 years old Raquel | New spain last stage / 'older' stage or 'death' stage (1800-1810)
With the Bourbon reforms and the french invasion in spain ,New Spain was affected in her economy and she stopped to growing up (read as: getting older in her appereance) this was the last stage and probably one of the most dramatic stages during the colony.
This stage is the last, and ends with New Spain's independence.

(Aunque mi enojo no disminuye)
